Top-Up Devices

Identifying an unknown top-up device; setting a program with no owning client

If you wish to send a program to a top-up device, but to not have it associated with a client, then you can configure the card through this feature. You can also scan any top-up device supplied by the ONE system (or its resellers) and obtain information on who it is allocated to (if at all).

This identification feature is found under the Devices menu item down the left side of the ONE app. Click the small downwards-pointing arrow to expand the features under the Devices menu and you will see Identify Client Device. Click on this.

When the page loads you are asked to scan a top-up device. Once it identifies the ten-digit number of the device then it makes an enquiry against the ONE database in the cloud and returns what it knows. This can be useful either it you have a stack of cards on your desk and have lost track of which one is which, or even if somebody has found a lost device and handed it in to your clinic.

The scan result will say one of:

  • Which of your clients it belongs to, and whether it is actively running a program.

  • Whether the device id is unknown on our database, in which case it was not sourced from WDS or a ONE reseller.

  • Whether the device is not yet registered to your subscription, or to a client.

  • Or whether the card is registered to another subscriber. In this case no further details are shown for reasons of privacy.

Pressing the Edit Schedule button displays the edit box that allows you to change the program or expiry date of the device. There is also one difference on this version of the edit box that is not present elsewhere in the ONE app - you can also change the person that the device is allocated to.

There are various checkboxes in the lower part of the form:

  • Click here to expire the device now - will trigger the expiry to occur at the same time of day at which the schedule was set (e.g. 18:30). Schedules work on a per day (24 hour) basis.

  • Click here to disassociate the device from client - the client, in this case Tess Dater, will no longer be associated with the device. If you go to her client pages the device will no longer be showing in her personal list. NB As above, transmission will still continue until the scheduled time of day comes around. This will be the following day if you cancel the schedule AFTER the scheduled time of day.

  • Click here if device is lost or destroyed - this marks the device as "unusable" so that it cannot be re-allocated.
